types of RAM

Basically there are 2 main types of RAM.

one of the is SRAM and second one is DRAM 

SRAM stands for Static RAM and 

DRAM stands for Dynamic RAM.

these are two main types of ram using now a days.

Main differance between SRAM and DRAM is as follows

SRAM:

     SRAM is faster then DRAM

SRAM is less expensive then DRAM

SRAM needs less power

it does not need more refresh power.

DRAM:

     DRAM is less faster then SRAM

DRAM is more expensive then SRAM

DRAM needs more  power

it needs  refresh at the end of each completing task..
