what is BIOS?

BIOS stans for Basic Inputput and Output Softwre.
BIOS is the main function for starting the windows.
All informations about system are saved in the BIOS.
BIOS is stored in a memory storage that is called ROM(Read only Memory).
ROM is a chip that is on the motherboard. If the BIOS is not inserted in the any computer then that computer will not know that how to communicate with hard disk or other peripherals of computer bacause all working information is stored on BIOS. It means without BIOS any computer will not work properly.
